Aromatic Foot Reflexology
Transformational Stress Relief! Relax, let go be transported and be treated with a deeper healing, peaceful, relaxing and soothing care! This treatment combines the best of reflexology with aromatherapy. Aromatherapy, verifies that smells heal our body mind, as specific scents access olfactory pathways deep into our mind glands resulting in cleansing and healing.
Having a full hour foot rub will send you to seventh heaven! This is the biggest foot rub you'll ever receive in your life. Leave an extra half hour if this is your first appointment, as I usually take extra time to find out about you and what you need? During the massage, I'll sensitively press, tap, knead, stroke your entire feet, in addition I'll use warm stones, small wooden massage sticks, scented aromatherapy oils and warm towels!

Foot Reflexology is a manual acupressure therapy whereby 'zones' of the feet are massaged in order to clean, heal, revive, repair and stimulate healing in the entire body. The Zone Reflexology points that are mapped upon the foot, correspond to both the brain and the mind, corresponding with body parts all over the body including every body system and organ.

"Each reflex is believed to correspond to particular structures or organs of the body [1]. By applying pressure to these points the reflexologist aims to promote homeostasis and, as a result, restore and maintain physiological and psychological health and wellbeing [2]. The exact mechanism of action for reflexology has not yet been established; currently modulation of the autonomic nervous system (ANS) [3-5] and the release of endorphins following reflexology [6] are the most popular hypotheses... there is a growing body of evidence to suggest that stimulation of certain reflexes can activate the corresponding regions of the brain [4,7,8]. Reflexology may be a valuable tool as studies have reported positive effects on quality of life, stress levels and pain levels [9-14]. A recent study has also reported that reflexology reduced low back and pelvic pain (LBPP) and associated disability during pregnancy [15]. Reflexology is a gentle, non-invasive treatment."

The benefits of Foot Reflexology include:

  • Improved blood circulation:
Due to a sedentary lifestyle, many people don’t use their feet muscles properly, thus impeding good blood flow. Also, tight, pointed shoes–especially high heels–hinder feet circulation.

  • Foot massage helps in transporting oxygen to the body’s cells, which is essential for overall health.

  • Relaxation & Repair:

  • Kidney Stones release

  • Emotional release

  • Increased energy

  • Elimination of toxins

  • After a tiring and stressful day, a foot massage is a soothing and relaxing way to relax the entire body and repair many body systems. Foot Reflexology can actually repair the immune, reproductive, circulatory, endocrine, muscular, digestive, lymphatic and nervous systems.

  •  Promotes better sleep:
A soothing and relaxing foot massage improves the blood circulation, hormonal regulation, and endocrine gland healing. This helps in a peaceful sleep.

  • Relieves body pains:
Treats muscular, vascular, tendon, ligament, joint, pains and aches such as headaches, migraines, neck pain, lower and upper backaches.

  • Improves mood and clears depression:
Foot massage and reflexology helps in clearing depression, worry, anxiety. Certain zone points on the feet are helpful in alleviating depression symptoms. Massaging these points or applying pressure to them for 20 minutes can help relieve symptoms of depression.

  • Alleviates swelling (edema)
Regular foot massage during pregnancy is perfectly safe! It can help reduce the effects of edema, swelling in the feet and ankles due to fluid retention. This symptom is common during pregnancy, especially in the last trimester.

What does reflexology feel like?

  • Experiences with reflexology vary from relaxation, to a sense of "lightness" or tingling in the body, as well as feelings of warmth, a sense of "opening," or "energy moving" from the practitioner's pressure to the specific body area or organ. There is often a physical perception of energy flowing through every organ, valve, gland, or muscle, as well as a sense of communication between each body system.
